As a kid, I had family members make fun of me. Ask me to say words they knew I had exceptional difficulty with. Yes, I'm still angry about that shit. Yes, it has absolutely affected relationships with my family and people overall. But, overall, I'm in a much better and much happier place. I have a job I love, where I talk on the phone daily - and stutter while doing so. I have a wonderful, supportive and patient wife, and people in my life I can truly call friends. Even though I stutter. This speech impediment is a huge hurdle, try not to prop it up. Find and keep those that love and accept You, and kick that MFing hurdle down.
