One thing I want to highlight is: Not every stutterer might be able to lose his stuttering but no stutterer has to be depressed because of it. This whole emotional baggage is something that can be resolved. When this is done we can look at the stutter symptoms and try to attack them. But when panic is something you experience on a regular basis, I would advice you to either seek consultation to learn to deal with the emotions you are expereincing or to desensibilize yourself for tough speaking situations. You can combine the two also.
