I'm 37 yo. I stutter sometimes, there're days when I'm fluent, others I'm completely blocked. I speak 3 languages and stutter in all of them. I find it hard when I can't replace the words at the last second in some languages because of a lack of vocabulary. The good thing I'm convinced about is that my stuttering is not more than a habit I developed since I was a child, and my unconscious mind had fully adopted it. In your case, I think it's just a trauma that can be solved with a therapist. There's always ways to unlearn and learn again. Don't lose hope and keep going strong! You can beat it without any doubts!
