I stutter most around my dad and I'm in my 30s. Because he the one that just has to comment on it or can't accept it. Mine is tied directly to my anxiety and confidence. I definitely felt better about myself when I became self supporting which would have helped my stutter. If you think moving out on your own will increase your confidence and decrease your anxiety about your stutter then it might help you improve.
