From what I have understood of stuttering, its a habit, and a vicious circle of each block or stuttering feeding that habit. If only we could get more moments of fluency so our brains can break from the habit of stuttering slowly. And of course, like you and many others here, the starting syllable of my name was always my fear. I almost always blocked on it, while introducing myself. I looked for ways to avoid introducing myself - texting people first before calling, having someone introduce me at social gatherings etc. But then one day I had enough of it, I was called by this name for a few decades, yes, but it was also what was keeping me from breaking this habit. I went through a legal name change and picked a name that was easier to say. I have since grown out of the fear of introducing myself, and to a good extent it has improved my overall fluency. Something to consider. Wish you well.
