Manager to cure/stop my stutter with canabis My first time posting here, but I thought it might be a good idea to share this as it might help someone. So I've stuttered all my life and I've tried everything. I've done speech therapy, starfish programme, meditation, speaking slow, speaking fast, placing hums in front of words, always playing with a fidget toy etc. I've had some minor success with some of these, but never managed to actually stop stuttering. I find that the methods work slightly in avoiding the occasional stutter, but at the end of the day you still end up stuttering when you don't want to. I tend to get repetition at the beginning of words, blocks and have had a few twitches too. About 1 year ago I started riding the ganja train recreationally. I knew weed was good for anxiety and several other things but never thought it would affect my stutter. BTW my stutter is made worse by stress and anxiety but I also stutter when I'm fully relaxed and comfortable. A couple of months ago someone close mentioned "you know I've not heard you stutter for a very long time". Having had this all my life, I naturally grew used to the way people react and treat it. It became natural to me. I was a little surprised to hear that, but quickly realised that my stutter had in fact gone away. I stopped smoking for a week or two and found that my stutter was back. Then when I restarted weed, it went away again. To me, weed is the ultimate cure. I'm currently looking into trying to see what effects pure CBD will have on the stutter. If you don't know, CBD is the chemical in weed that is responsible for the medical part as opposed to the "stoned" part (which would be THC). It is possible to vape CBD by itself and not actually get high at all. For anyone who wants to try, Smoking once or twice a week seemed to work for me relatively well. Smoking more, got rid of the stutter completely. I want to make sure that people don't interpret this as me telling you all to start doing drugs. The choice is yours and I don't know if it will work for you. I simply want to share my experience should someone else be considering this.
