Belgium is helping us I am from belgium (forgive me if there are grammar mistakes), a small country with amazing food hahaha. Last year we had a TV show about people that have to go throught the special forces training in 2 weeks. Extremely physical and mentally draining. There was someone who participated and completed the 2 weeks, Zeger. Zeger has a stutter. The first time in my life i saw someone like me on TV. Becausr of this some teachers had a doorway to ask me about my stutter and what it is. This helpee me during an oral exam. Zeger was also extremely funny. Now this year we always have 2 big TV shows that everybody watches. "Blind getrouwd", a show about people getting married witj someone they never met and after 8 weeks they decide if they want to stay married. This year there is also someone who stutters, Dave. Extremely athletic and kind. He explained in the latest episode that sometimes het gets home and feels exhausted after a bad day with stutter. He explained it so well that many of my friends reached out and said that they had no idea how hard it can be. "De mol". A show about a group of people and one of them is the imposter. They need to do tasks to earn money and the imposter has a job to make sure they fail the tasks. Every episode they need to fill in questions about the imposter. The one who has the least amount of right answers has to go home. This year there is also somebody taking part who has a stutter. These people help the country understand what stuttering is and make it less a taboo. Which it sadly still kinda is. Wanted to share this and bring some hope that its possible to be on TV with a stutter and that one day it will the most normal thing in the world💜
