"Fluent" speakers also have many disfluencies in their speech but they can still convey their message & they don't care even if they struggle with some words. They usually also don't plan their words ahead - I remember I asked a non-stutterer friend about this and he looked at me with a little bit confused: "Why should I plan my words? I know what I want to say I just talk and the words come."
