And we gotta be real careful that anecdotes don't get spread around too much, since people could start believing that it applies to all. Case in point, "Slow Down and think before you talk" is one of those things that people who don't know much about stutter say to people who stutter. It's not helpful. So we shouldn't endorse it. But as always, it's good that someone found a way to manage their stutter. The criteria for "truth", however, isn't their individual succes, but rather, whether it would work for everyone. And we know in this case that it doesn't. So it's not "truth" in that way.
