Will getting a first job fix a stutter(blockage) by socializing more? How has getting a job effected your stutter? I am looking for a first job and am hoping it can help me with my stutter. I have a blockage where I say “um” multiple times before saying something such as “um my name is um,um,um,um, [First um,umm, Last]” or my head twitches to get a word out or I sound really emotional, nervous or sad when getting a word out like a voice crack which causes people to look at me weirdly. But when im alone i can easily talk normally. Im hoping I can resolve this in the next year, and be able to say my name clearly, make friends and get a girlfriend.
