I'm 23 now and stuttering since 4, I can say that it definitely gets easier with age. You just have to realise that everyone has their flaws and bad sides, so normal and understanding people will not judge you or make fun of your stutter, they have their own problems and stuttering is not what defines you, it's just a part of you. People will want to talk to you to hear what you have to say, not how you say it. So I suggest giving it a shot and try to make friends at school. If you get laughed at or bullied, then those people are just subhumans who don't deserve talking to you. I've been very fortunate to meet friends who don't care about my stutter and it's just a matter of finding the right people to hang out with. Even if the first attempt at finding them is unsuccessful you keep looking, there are people out there who will love talking with you to hear what you have to say and won't care about the stutter, trust me :)
