Hello, im a 21 lady and I have a substantial stutter. I actually have a stutter with my own name, so it's extra obvious. Mine actually started as a worse speech impediment and speech therapy helped me go to only the stutter after a couple of years. My parents actually teased my stutter (very gently and never actually hurt my feelings) and I helped me get "desensitized" to other people teasing me. And it honestly worked really well. Cause they would give me perfect responses to being teased too. However, I was also an "un-teasable" kid, and I don't know how much of that was because of my parents gentle teases. Just support your daughter honestly. Advocate for her when it comes to school. Be prepared to rain hell on a teacher at least once. Let her complain about her stutter on bad days. The stutter annoys us so much more than it annoys the people around us (99% of the time). And she will probably make better friends, cause the people who will be her friends are more accepting right off the bat. You got this!!
