The difficult thing is getting your foot in the door. When going for promotional interviews with people I don't know, I've mentioned overcoming, or continuing to fight the burden of a stutter, as a strength of mine. Sometimes I feel like I need to put it out there, to hint that this is normal for me and I won't let it stop me. It's a pity I have to do that, but I feel like it puts me in control. Phone interviews, though, are the worst, and I know how you feel there. No amount of optimism seems to help me with those.
