It's a crap time of your life when you have a stutter, especially one that effects you badly. Mine is never THAT bad but it's also very obvious (I don't hide it, was past caring about it many years ago) yet my teachers still always made me read in class etc. I don't know if they thought they were helping or not or they just didn't realize. It is hard but some things will fall into place. Don't assume that everybody will take the piss or will look down on you because of it. Don't get me wrong some will, they are human at the end of the day and some humans are just horrible. This is very easy to say with many years of experience on me now but try and perfect your eye roll! If someone mocks you don't get angry or upset just eye roll and ignore them. Those worth being mates with will find you eventually. My biggest advice for someone in school, especially someone with a stutter (or any other issues) is to not waste this time being angry. Find something you love doing and something you may want to do after you have gone through school and pour everything into it. It will at least give you a leg up when you move to the next awkward stage of life (getting a job). I wish I did it myself, I wasted so many years feeling like I was being held back when in reality I was holding myself back with resentment (well a combo of the two really...)
