virgomennace, We’re all in this together. My stuttering began when I was about 4 years old. I stuttered until 5 years ago when through psychotherapy and changing some things in my life I recovered! I had been abused as a child and finally dealt with it and lost a lot of anger. I also had the courage to leave a high-demand religion that I had lost faith in years ago. I had been living an inauthentic life and my physical and psychological health was failing. In addition to stuttering, I had disabling daily migraine headaches, depression, and anxiety. Dealing with my stress-inducing issues allowed me to stop stuttering. I was 70 years old at the time. Long time to have one’s life impacted by a severe and obvious handicap. It changed the course of my life as it does with all stutterers. Hang in there and share with the group. We need to rally around each other. Best wishes for an easier time expressing yourself. Your friend, Sue
