Having a small percentage of ashkenazi Jewish DNA is not the cause of your stutter. It just isn’t. Almost my entire family, synagogue, youth group, college Hillel, Birthright trip, and one whole job (preschool teacher at Jewish day school) are/were ashkenazi Jews. Among those hundreds of people with whom I’ve spent days/weeks/years around, only one other stuttered in a notable way. For the record, if you occasionally have repetitions, and it does not impact your life, I do not count you as a PWS. There’s no reason to dilute the meaning of words. Gatekeeping (done compassionately, for the right reasons) is essential to a functioning society. Also, I believe the secondary features that PWS develop are significantly more impactful to functioning/social presentation than the primary repetitions/prolongation. Is full, long, silent blocking considered a secondary feature? I bet it is. I think that and eye contact avoidance are the most socially impactful features.
