I also want to add that if you just get used to disclosing your stutter, 99.9% of people are nice and don’t care at all. Ever since masks became a thing, I learned that I have to disclose constantly because people don’t understand what’s going on. I only have silent blocks, so with a mask on they have no idea I’m trying to speak lol. So I’ve gotten used to interjecting “bare with me, I stutter” or “sorry, I stutter”. And when I say that I’m literally apologizing, it’s just a really easy way to let them know what’s happening and they’re always super polite about it. Hopefully that helps you. Try not to feel shame. People really just don’t mind that you stutter. You can be social and do anything a non-stutterer can do.
