Stuttering - multi lingual, music Hello all. I've only joined this sub today. I've struggled with stuttering my entire life. I remember crying in my bed as a 15 year old, asking my mum why I couldn't just stop stuttering! More than 15 years later I still have no answer! Some days I'm great - I'd say most days I am. I tell close friends I stutter and they don't believe me. The amount of word swapping I have to do is crazy. I know the exact word I want to say, but fuck, I'll either fight my arse off for it and say it 8 times, or I'm sure like many here, I'll paraphrase my own thoughts. Its fucking exh exh --- tiring. FUCK!! Other days I can't form the words "I love you" to my wife. My mouth can't do the thing I need it to do. ANYWAY How many of you stutter in multiple languages? I'm a music teacher, brass by trade. I get the same sensation when tongueing on a brass instrument. Not always, very infrequently really. But it doesn't go away. Any other brass players who also feel this?
