Idk if I'm reading too much into this but if I understand correctly, I think I agree with what you're saying. If you stutter when you give speeches then no, you are not neurodivergent. If it affects other parts of your life (the majority of stutterers on this sub) as communication disorders usually do, then I would say you are. Another look into it is why you are asking about this? (PSA- this is not questioning OP just each specific case of if a person w/ a stutter is neurodivergent or not) If you are checking to see so you can post about it on Instagram and get scholarships you don't deserve then I would probably say no. If you are asking bc you identify with the hardships then I would probably say yes. ​ TLDR- "Neurodivergent" is being romanticized so I would go case by case on how much it affects each person w/ a stutter. On a side note, all I can think about is the divergent book and movie series, like that is probably lowkey romanticizing it even more.
