Tell or don't tell; the 99% "normal" people may find you weird, or a novelty, it doesn't matter. If you are being interviewed, are you qualified for the job? If not, why not? What would it take to make you qualified next time? I'd stop targeting people as "potentials". Make friends by being friendly, etc. Yes, it is easy for me to say: \_so what if you end up living alone, lots of people do, and they are worse off than you\_ , because as social animals, we crave social interaction regardless of personality.
