I can tell you that i know why it seemed to be the "most humiliating" but i can assure you that young children not only do not care if you stutter, but many of them are going through the natural time of life when they stutter themselves (and grow out of it shortly thereafter). My point is, and its not a kind suggestion, but you really can't care about kids caring about how you talk. That is a prime sign that you are in much more need of mental health therapy more than speech therapy. I hope i dont sound rude. I've been offended by children seemingly mocking my stutter, but children are children.... they shouldn't dictate a healthy adult's feelings
