Hi, congratulations🙂 I stutter myself, and my son started stuttering 2-3 months ago. I've read a bunch of studies now. The only one I remember being about likelyhood of stuttering in children of parents who stutter is this https://www.researchgate.net/publication/223303264_Persistence_and_remission_of_incipient_stuttering_among_high-risk_children Its a bit old, but give a general idea. 7 out of 93 children became persistent stutterers. Studies disagree on the difference of having a father or mother that stutters. Some say its more likely if the mother stutters, others say the opposite. I posted some questions and answers you can check out for tips, if your child starts to stutter. And yes, having a parent that understands will be very helpful🙂 https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/p4h5ux/our_son_started_stuttering/ First comment on this for some tips: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/p9txsn/comment/ha0a2ql/
