Apple Interview (Recent College Graduate) I recently had an interview at Apple working retail. (obviously way out of any person who stutters comfort zone) The interview went alright, I went in with as much confidence as I could and really tried to be myself. I got an email yesterday saying they wanted to move forward with other candidates, which really killed my mood because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. I keep thinking that the reason why I wasn't hired because of my stutter. I mean it is retail. They want people who can communicate with customers well and sell products. I feel like I'm missing out on all these jobs that I interview for because employers want effective communicators, not people who stutter. It seems like its easier to hire the fluent person even if the person who stutters shows greater potential. I really want to make and see a change in the way that I talk but its been a long time since I actually sat down and practiced fluency. Kinda silly of me expecting change just from doing what I've been doing for years. Any tips on new ways to practice fluency? Or just tips that you use that you see results with? I know fluency isn't going to happen over night, or for some ever happen at all, but I really wanna see a change in the way I talk. Side note: I'm getting a fluency device the speecheasy, in the mail in a week or so and its going to help me out a little, but I want to get to the point where I don't have to wear it and speak fluently. (my old one broke)
