I agree It's very toxic to tell someone to be positive on all conidtions when you don't even live in their shoes. Maybe you live in country that have laws against discrimination when you are trying to find jobs but other people live in an unfriendly environment and there are no any single law that can protect them from discrimination. So it's easy to say (don't let it control your life) for you.
