Teacher called me the wrong name, and I didn’t correct him. I’m attending film school and ran into this one teacher I had for a week long summer class back in like 2018. I recognized him but didn’t think he recognized me at first. I kept passing him in the hall and today he finally said “Hey Cooper” (my names not Cooper). I was already stuttering trying to say hey back so I didn’t bother correcting him. He asked me about what classes I was taking and after what felt like an eternity I told him my schedule. Sometimes correcting people isn’t worth it cause they’ll find out their mistake eventually, if I ever get him for a class he’ll hopefully realize. And the thing is he already knew I had a stutter cause I had to work around one of the exercises in that summer class cause we had to record dialogue for an animation, so I don’t know why I didn’t just correct him.
