I love telling them that I stutter and look at the utter horror on their face when they've realized that they were being an asshole. As a child, during role call, I blocked when it got to my name. The teacher laughed and asked if I forgot my name. The rest of the class laughed and I was embarrassed and simply responded that I just wasn't paying attention. I wish I could go back in time and just say that I had a stutter.
