Stutter under the influence of alcohol

Stutter under the influence of alcohol I've always have a mild stutter, not really a big problem except during presentations if I haven't rehearsed well enough, but otherwise manageable. During my early twenties I realized that I stutter less when I drink and that it even completely diseapers after a few drinks. I wonder if this is common or not. I've also had different 'results' with weed and wouldn't mind sharing my experience and discussing it.
