Another engineer, civil/environmental. I haven't had to give any sort of presentation (yet) but I do have to do site visits, talk with clients, call various regulatory agencies on the phone, etc. I chose engineering because I thought I wouldn't have to talk as much but joke's on me because I went into consulting which is 80% writing, 19% talking, and 0.1% math. (the other 0.99% is driving). I find it helpful to type as I talk when I'm on the phone. Also, I tell everyone up front that I stutter because it takes the pressure off of myself to pretend I'm "normal" and also so they don't hang up on me haha.
