How can I stop my stuttering caused by THINKING about stuttering? Dear people, I really need your advice. My story is a bit weird, I have to say, but I'm sure there are people out there having similar experience like me. So my stutter first started when I was around 8 years old.. it was totally genetics, happened for no reason at all - just genetics (my mom and grandad also suffered from this mess). Of course I went on multiple therapies and some of that helped a bit, but not significatly. However, as time passed by, that type of stuttering I had changed.. it seemed to really get better, it wasn't so intense and creepy.. I managed to hide it from everyone in school finally, however later I developped a fear (better said, TRAUMA) of stuttering. My stutter completely became mind problem then, I only stuttered when I thought of it while when I don't think about it - I speak totally normal. I tried even hypnosis, it didn't help with this. So what advice do you have for me to stop thinking about this??
