is it possible to become a stutterer being like 18?

is it possible to become a stutterer being like 18? I'm 21 now, for the last like 2-3 years I've been hella stuttering. When I was younger I would sometimes stutter when I started a sentence but now it's almost everytime and i feel like a fcking dumbass. I think it's a matter of anxiety or something like that. Did this happen to anyone of you?
