Slowly IMO. I have been practicing this technique: When I know I am about to stutter, I stop and take a deep breath through the nose, think about the word I am trying to pronounce as calmly as possible, and continue talking. Yes, it may be awkward, but your friends and relatives who know you stutter will understand. Other people will think that you’re recomposing your thoughts, which makes you look more collected and smarter.
