It’s well-researched. There are academically documented, evidence based ways to address the root cause that leads to sustainable comfort, control, pleasure and fluency in speaking. But the problem is 2 fold. 1. The information is *not known* by many, including many many SLPs. 2. The information sounds contradictory, scary or unpleasant. (The effective ways almost definitely *do not* include things like : imagine the listener isn’t there, create spreadsheets, take a deep breath, just slow down!, think before talking, practice certain sounds in isolation , or just don’t worry what they think!). However…the effective ways *will* eventually automatically lead to “not worrying what they think!”
