Something good did come out of it. You hit rock bottom. Now what will you do? My advice, as someone with 10 years stuttering experience, is to join a public speaking club. It gets easier every time you do it. It take courage and you signal your unconscious that you don't have to fear these situations. Good luck on your journey. Some people will never have even tried, and they will always be at the whim of their fear.
