Post your stutter success story! What do you do despite your stutter that may inspire others? Hi fellow stutterers. I wanted to post here to maybe be an inspiration to someone out there who has a stutter like me. I’ll save the drama part, grew up with a stutter picked on the whole 9 yards. Despite my stutter, I played *quarterback* starting at a young age and was fortunate enough to make it to the *college level*. You can imagine a quarterback in the huddle “tw-tw-tw-twenty two tr-trap left on one” to be so nervous about stuttering that I tell the other side of the huddle the opposite play. Luckily my center picked up on it after a while and smacked me in the face lol. We had to change the name of a few plays because I couldn’t say it. I now currently serve as an officer in the army. My goal is to not hide my stutter from my troops, but to be up front with them about it and maybe it will inspire them. That this officer, despite his stutter, leads us and brings his best everyday and is *vocal*. My side hobby is learning Greek. I come from a Greek family. Despite my stutter, I wish to learn the tongue of my heritage. Don’t let the stutter stand in the way of your goals. You will truly inspire people who are kind hearted. And if they are mean to you, then they’re not kind hearted and who cares what mean people think.
