U know what helped me a little bit? My stutter is s e v e r e especially when im nervouse but throughout quarentine ive had the chance to develop **covert** things such as: -Drawing out your words (instead of “s-s-s-sorry” you say “sssorry”) it took me a long time to do that but it works -When stuck on a word or “blocking” switch what you were going to say and draw out the sentence (ex: “Im going to the park” can be difficult to say so i migjt draw it out by saying “im going to walk to the park” you can change the sentence midway as well) -A quick pause when you start studdering and then immediatly continuing. This actually has helped me many times (ex: “I am g-g- ..going to the park) -Distractions. If you arent focusing on your speech you will see that you wont have as many issue. Ik, it sounds impossible to ignore it but i usually just try focusing on my thumbs or some fliwers while talking and it can be very helpful This is just a couple things you can do to covertly stutter and make it less noticable This works for me when i an in a calm and confortable enviroment (such as quarentine) Sadly this will probably crumbble when i go back to school but its better than constantly having issues. There are workarounds, its ok
