I went for the mri because of tinnitus. The neurosurgeon said that it SEEMS not to be related to tinnitus but the ear nerve is not far away from the tumor. Anyways it is VERY rare that a brain tumor will cause tinnitus. Is your tinnitus one sided? Do you stutter when reading aloud, alone? I have never been able to say particular words, even when alone. This means my stuttering probably is neurogenic and the tumor could very well be behind it.
