If you fail to figure out a direct reason, my best idea has always been to make one up that helps you deal with it. Mine is similar to others, if I didn’t have it I would have been too powerful. In a way, while adolescence was torture, it thought me very valuable lessons. And now I can use my stutter to my advantage. Those who are willing to be patient and understanding of it, are those who I want in my life. I can use it as a radar to detect assholes, they treat me differently because of it, they are not worth my attention.
