I've done the thiamine protocol and it helps, but not a fix. I'd be surprised if baclofen works, it's a muscle relaxant. You mentioned you don't stutter while alone or reading to your child. I read an article a long time ago while we have typically have a genetic predisposition for stuttering- conditioning is also an issue. We are deeply impacted by negative experiences around speaking. I find when I am alone speaking and put myself in the mindset of having people around, my stutter returns full force. When I am mimicking another person or voicing my dog's thoughts- I am fluent. I can feel the switch and I don't know how to translate it into that mode when I am speaking all the time. I believe this is a phenomenon a lot of us experience. I'm a nurse, if the baclofen doesn't work- discontinue. It's not worth the side effects. Also, might want to take a stool softener while on it. Causes constipation in a lot of people.
