Started stuttering in my 20s, why???? Is this normal?? Hello folks, sorry if this question gets asked a lot in this sub or anything but I’m 22 and have recently started stuttering a fair bit. I realize I do it during heightened emotions (sad, happy, excited, mad, etc.) and I did have a slight stutter when I was younger. I went to speech therapy for years for it combined with a speech impediment. But now I am 22 and stuttering more than I did as a kid. Is this a normal thing???? It doesn’t cause a problem when I’m at work or anything. Usually when I’m with friends and it just makes me feel embarrassed (all of my friends are great about it but I just feel weird because I will randomly start stuttering)
