Hey at least it began when you were 12 and your case is one of the less severe ones I have heard. I've had it since I started speaking and it was a stutter combined with other pronunciation issues and an Indian accent. And what makes it worse is my mom and my sister imitate me when I stutter. Sometimes, my mom slaps me after my stutter. I just learnt to deal with everything and think of stuttering as a gift from god. We don't like all gifts but this one helped me build my perseverance. Also think about it like this, people who stutter generally have higher IQs than those who don't. So there is a very high chance you might be significantly smarter than your peers. Now don't get me wrong, I still have a lot of anxiety about my stutter as it was pretty bad and held me back as a kid and now from doing what I want. But thinking about the positive side always makes it better.
