My dh stutters but I’ve rarely met anyone before irl that does. One time at my work I was handling a call from someone who stuttered and I had the empathy to deal with him since my dh does. Otherwise I may not have. It’s all relative to how exposed people are to the condition. It’s also like being a minority in a small town. Maybe if you were in the majority, you would look at that minority as someone alien. Same as with stuttering. So sorry you have to deal with this disability but you have an amazing dad that supports you! It’s just hard when you’re holding a bad hand but nice to know that everyone else (here) is also.
