I work in elementary schools in Japan. I've seen the odd boy here and there and one girl. I think the 1 in 100 stat is bullshit. Maybe a mild stutter, but a noticeable one I think is more 1 in 500-1000. These are children. I think by the time we reach adulthood, like me, we tend to learn to mask it and succeed to varying degrees. We exist.
