Hello, 1) From my experience stuttering is closely related with psychology also, so I wished my parents introduced me to child psychologist along with speech therapy as soon as they spotted the stuttering. 2) If you haven't started, start speech therapy from an expert right NOW that he is still young. My stuttering was mild at that age so we didn't pay too much attention. It became worse when i was a teenager and when I started the speech therapy I had already developed my way of talking and uttering words, letters which was difficult to erase and develop from the start again. 3) Things you could do in your day to day life. Give him/her time to speak, don't finish his sentenses or cut him/her short no matter how much time it takes to finish them. Don't point out anything about his stutter, and interact with him like you interact with any other human being with no stutter. 4) The last thing and I'm speaking for myself cause maybe others didn't have a problem with it is that I was feeling very unconfortable when the person I was speaking to was looking me at the eyes or mouth while I was stuttering. It was and is the worst feeling lol. It created so much pressure to me to finish the words and I hated it. I have so many things to share that maybe help but I need to know a bit more about the situation. Don't hesitate to message me if you need anything else. We are here for each other!
