I did the exact same thing. I knew I needed to take public speaking so decided to take it last year when I knew for sure it would be online thinking it would help my fear, and surprise it did not. Perfect attendance until my first speech came around, I skipped, then skipped again, and again. Talked to the disability services and they forwarded my email to the head of the speech department who coincidentally was my public speaking professor. He let me record myself and send it to him. Felt like 1000 lbs off my shoulders.
