If there are any stuttering community groups in your country, I would highly recommend checking those out. Going to college was one of the hardest things I ever did regarding my stutter. I was very similar to what you're describing. When I look back now, I realize that it didn't have to be that way. Most people get their impressions about our stutter based on how we act. So if I'm really nervous about it, a lot of people might feel uncomfortable bc they can sense something is wrong (even if they don't know why, and even if they don't actually care about the stutter itself). But if I can pretend to not care about my stutter - or better yet, truly not care - most people respond OK to it. Might get a comment here or there the first time stuttering happens, but they're ok once they realize it's just how you talk. I highly recommend connecting to other people around your age who stutter. They have a lot of the same worries and experiences, and it can be really beneficial to talk to each other about experiences and ideas.
