Things that work for me are emphasizing certain problem words (in a way that makes sense of course). It helps me breath through the word slowly but without sounding like the sentence doesn’t flow correctly. So for example, if my problem word was “amazing” because of the vowel “A” I would speak: I had a really a-maz-ing time last night. It’s not full proof but certainly helps me more times than not.
