Accept your anxiety. The more you try denying it, the stronger it becomes. It's like saying, Don't think about pink elephants. That's all you will end up doing. Accept the anxiety and that it is ok and natural to be anxious. You (and I) stutter. It's only natural to feel some anxiety before talking to others, especially someone new in our life. Just think to yourself, It's ok for me to stutter. It's ok to be someone who stutters.
