People don’t make eye contact when you talk to them

People don’t make eye contact when you talk to them I don’t know if I’m reading into it too much but I’ve noticed that some people avoid eye contact when they talk with you when they know you shutter. For instance, I told my partner that I have a shutter and I’ve noticed that he barely makes eye contact with me and when I talk. Also does anyone notice that you shutter more with people you’re more comfortable with?
