There's ultimately no way to prevent discrimination from happening 100% of the time, but confident, open stuttering is more likely to lead to positive outcomes in communication than attempts to hide stuttering (especially if we're really nervous about not stuttering). A confident disclosure statement can be hard to start doing consistently, but it's a great way to improve confidence!
