I'm pretty much in the same situation and I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you're missing out on the whole experience. I have a great family and a lot of hobbies, but I do feel like because of my inability to socialize I'm missing out on what everyone else gets to enjoy at this stage of life. It seriously sucks.
